Can you tell us a bit about what you do here at Watts Gallery - Artists' Village?
I’m part of the Marketing team. We’re responsible for promoting everything that we do here at Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village, through various channels to many different audiences. My role involves lots of the digital marketing side, which includes managing our social media, website, and digital advertising, alongside creating content for these channels.
What is your favourite aspect of your role?
My favourite aspect of my role is being creative, I love being able to take photos and create videos in my role. The Marketing team work across all teams at Watts, so I also enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and finding great stories to share across our marketing channels.
What are you excited about that’s coming up this year at Watts?
I’m excited to see our intervention in the Historic Galleries, with Simon Frederick’s portraits alongside G F Watts’s Hall of Fame portraits. It will be interesting to see what visitors think, and I’m hoping we can engage lots of new online audiences during the exhibition too.
What is your favourite way to get creative in your free time? I studied photography at university, and it remains one of my favourite ways to get creative. I enjoy exploring new places with my camera and documenting my adventures.
Tell us an unexpected fact about yourself?
As a child, I lived in Berlin with my family and was fluent in German. Unfortunately, I forgot most of my German once back in the UK, but I still try and practice and have enjoyed going back to Berlin over the years!
