We have our fair share of spooky stories here at Watts Gallery - Artists' Village. Read on, if you dare, to hear more from our staff and volunteers.
“A former Curator was locking up one night in the house, on the upstairs landing outside what is now the curatorial office. It was still the bedroom back then, she said the temperature suddenly dropped, and she felt something on the back of her neck that felt like someone’s hand! She ran out of there and all the way down to her car…
...There's definitely something going on around the old bedroom and bathroom in Limnerslease."
“I was working at the weekend over in the house and I was talking to the other steward on duty. She said that she had heard a man walking around and talking upstairs in the offices, and was Matthew (Head of Estates) working that day? As it was a weekend, he wasn't. When I was by myself in the house, I had to get a friend on the phone with me as I went around hunting for a ghost or intruder!”
