Join our workshop to enhance your drawing skills with tips, techniques and activities. Inspired by Cecily Mary Barker, create realistic bodies and faces, then use your imagination to bring them to life with character!

Cecily Mary Barker, creator of the Flower Fairies, was a skilled draughtswoman of people – she was able to capture expression, movement and realistic bodies and faces, all in her delicate signature style. This took her a lot of practice and a keen eye – and she had help from lots of people who encouraged and guided her along the way too.

Join this workshop to guide your drawing skills, with some activities and games, and observational sketches. We’ll think about different body parts, and how you might bring people to life in your drawings and artwork. And then use your imagination – who might your people be? A fairy or a pirate? A vampire or a clown? Or maybe your family or friends!
