About Members Trip: Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

Wednesday 26 April

8.45am – 5pm

Led by a ceramic specialist, this private introductory talk of The Willett Collection comprises Brighton resident Henry Willett’s extensive collection of Sussex pottery and ceramics. This nineteenth century collector believed that the ceramic objects ordinary people used at home or displayed on their mantelpieces offered valuable insights into history and the talking points of the day. There will also be an opportunity to explore Brighton Art Museum and Art Gallery in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Pavilion, followed by lunch at a nearby restaurant and a return to Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village.
