George Anson was a Managing Director and Partner of HarbourVest Partners, the global private equity firm, and responsible for their European and overseas investment activities. He transitioned to Senior Advisor on 30th June 2017. He also served on the Board of Directors of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited, the London-listed investment company, from 2007-2012. George served on HarbourVest's Executive Management Committee (2010-2014) and was the Chairman of Invest Europe from 2013-14. George has been a member of the Menorca Preservation Fund's Steering Committee since April 2018 and was Chair of Level 20, a not-for-profit organisation to inspire women to join and succeed in the private equity industry, from November 2018 to November 2020. George was also on the board of Trustees for Asthma UK from June 2015 to December 2019. He is a Trustee of The Anson Charitable Trust, and the Lord Fortescue's Charity.. He is a lover of country pursuits and is a keen sportsman. George is currently High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire. George sits on the Finance and Buildings Committee.
